1. Agreement and Scope of Services
Welcome to Piece World. This agreement is between you and 北京澄笑科技有限公司 (referred to as “we” or “us”) and applies to the Piece World app and the related services we provide for browsing building instructions, digital building, favorites, completion records, and paid entitlements. Please read this agreement before registering, purchasing, or using the relevant services. Pay particular attention to provisions concerning fees, account restrictions, local data, and dispute resolution.
Piece World provides digital content and software services. Unless expressly stated on the purchase page, these do not include physical bricks, physical products, or third-party hardware. Browsing, free building, and purchasing, restoring or using Apple subscriptions do not require Piece World sign-in. Sign-in is optional for account features such as favorites and cloud completion records. Guest progress and completion status stay on the device and are not uploaded as account completion records. Available content, device compatibility, and the scope of services are as stated on the current app pages and in the purchase confirmation information.
Unless custom license terms are expressly provided separately in the App Store, software obtained through the App Store is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). This agreement supplements the account and service rules for Piece World and does not diminish your rights under applicable law, Apple’s rules, or open-source licenses.
2. Accounts and Device Use
You can create or access a Piece World account using Sign in with Apple. Please ensure that you are entitled to use that Apple Account and keep your devices and sign-in status secure. We will not ask you to give customer support your Apple password, payment password, or verification codes.
A single Piece World account has only one valid sign-in session in total across all supported types of devices. When you successfully sign in on another device, the previous session becomes invalid. This applies to iPhone, iPad, and any other devices supported in the future. This session restriction applies to Piece World account features. It does not prevent valid Apple subscriptions from being used on your supported devices; guests can purchase and restore subscriptions without registering. A previous device that is fully offline may not learn that its session has become invalid until it reconnects to the server.
Your account should be used by you personally. Do not rent out or sell your account, or make restricted content available to others by sharing an account, copying sign-in credentials, or similar means. If you suspect unauthorized account use or unusual sign-in activity, promptly sign out of the relevant sessions and contact us at the email address on this page so we can investigate.
3. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Refunds
This version offers Basic and Advanced monthly auto-renewable memberships. Individual-building purchases are not offered. The content available at each membership level is determined by the product description at the time of purchase and the access labels on building instructions. Membership does not mean permanent ownership of all building instructions. Free and member instructions use the same building tools; the difference is which instructions are accessible.
Purchases are completed through Apple’s In-App Purchase service. Product prices, currencies, subscription periods, eligibility for offers, and actual charges are as shown on the confirmation page presented to you by Apple. Please review them before purchasing.
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew under Apple’s rules until canceled. You can view, change, or cancel renewal in your Apple Account’s subscription settings, or open Apple subscription management. To avoid a charge for the next period, act before the next renewal in accordance with the timing and rules displayed by Apple. After normal cancellation of auto-renewal, entitlements for the paid period generally remain available until that period ends. Refunds, revocations, and similar cases depend on the actual outcome.
Refund requests and payment processing are subject to Apple’s procedures and applicable law. You can request assistance through Apple’s Report a Problem page. We update entitlements according to verified transaction status. Simply canceling renewal or requesting a refund does not itself constitute a violation.
Apple keeps your purchase records. After reinstalling or changing devices, the app checks the current App Store account for active subscriptions. Restore Purchases is also available in guest mode. If access is missing, check the App Store account and network connection, then contact us. Paying again should not be a prerequisite for confirming existing valid entitlements. Refunded or revoked transactions no longer grant access to new building instructions.
4. Offline Building and Local Records
Opening new member instructions requires an internet connection to verify the subscription. Signed-in users must also have a valid app-account session. To make continued use convenient when offline, such as while traveling, we allow you to continue the most recently authorized and successfully opened build on the current device and in its current usage mode, provided the necessary local resources are complete. The convenience of continuing that already-started build after normal membership expiry or a refund does not grant access to other building instructions or permanent membership.
Cached files, building progress, or a “completed” marker are not themselves credentials for accessing other building instructions. Do not obtain restricted content by modifying requests, copying credentials, bulk scraping, or bypassing access checks.
Detailed building steps, part positions, rotation states, and operation history are mainly stored on the current device. The cloud currently stores records such as account favorites, the fact that a build has been completed, and purchase entitlements. It does not provide cloud restoration of unfinished building steps. Uninstalling the app, changing devices, restarting a build, or clearing local data may affect these local records. Whether a system backup can restore them depends on the actual circumstances.
5. Appropriate Use and Security Measures
You must comply with laws and regulations and use content within the scope of your authorization. Do not infringe others’ intellectual property or personal information rights, distribute unlawful content, disrupt normal service operation, impersonate others, fabricate transactions, or bypass payment restrictions.
For verified account security risks, unlawful sharing, or other misuse, we may take necessary restriction or suspension measures in accordance with law and, where practicable, inform you of the action taken. After an account is suspended, the app’s service features may no longer be available, regardless of whether content is free, purchased, or cached. Devices that are fully offline cannot learn of new measures until they reconnect to the service.
If you disagree with a decision, you can request a review through our contact email. Suspension does not deprive you of the right to make personal information requests, submit complaints, or assert consumer rights under law. Matters concerning fees already paid will be resolved under applicable law and Apple’s actual handling rules. You must sign in again after a suspension is lifted; old sessions are not automatically restored.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
Piece World’s software, interface, and content in which we lawfully hold rights are protected by law. Rights in third-party building instructions, models, trademarks, and open-source materials belong to their respective rights holders. Displaying them does not transfer those rights to us or to users.
Unless the rights holder authorizes otherwise, an applicable open-source license permits it, or the law provides otherwise, access to building instructions is for your personal use only. It does not include bulk copying, public distribution, resale, or unauthorized commercial distribution of protected resources. Downloads, caching, and extraction performed by the software for normal use are not prohibited by this provision.
If you believe content in the service infringes your rights, please email us with enough information to locate the content, an explanation of your rights, and your contact details. We will investigate and address the matter. Third-party or open-source content with a separate license is governed by that license.
7. Personal Information and Account Deletion
For details of how we process personal information, see the Piece World Privacy Policy. This agreement does not replace separate notice or consent required by law, nor does it treat reading this page as consent to unrelated information collection.
To request account deletion, deletion of personal information, or help with account issues, contact the email address on this page. We will conduct necessary identity verification and handle data that must be deleted or retained in accordance with law. Uninstalling the app, signing out, stopping the use of Sign in with Apple, or deleting your Piece World account does not amount to canceling an auto-renewable subscription with Apple. If you no longer need the subscription, also cancel it in Apple’s subscription management settings.
8. Minors
Minors under 18 should read these terms, choose suitable content, and use the service with the guidance and consent of a parent or other guardian. Purchases or subscriptions require the guardian's prior consent. Guardians should help manage usage time, devices, accounts, and purchases.
Personal information of children under 14 is sensitive personal information. Processing it requires guardian consent in accordance with applicable law and compliance with the special rules for children's personal information in our Privacy Policy; separate consent must be obtained where required by law. Reading or accepting these terms, using Sign in with Apple, completing a payment, or meeting an App Store content age rating does not replace legally required guardian consent.
The current app does not provide age identification, verifiable guardian consent, or a dedicated child-account process. If you are a guardian seeking to understand the conditions for a child's use of relevant features, or you discover information submissions, account use, or purchases without proper authorization, contact piece_world@163.com for review and handling. This email channel is for questions and requests; sending an email does not itself complete guardian-consent verification. A minor's use must also comply with the laws applicable where they are located.
9. Service Changes and Responsibility
We will reasonably maintain the security and availability of the service, but factors such as networks, devices, system updates, or maintenance may cause temporary interruptions or feature changes. We will provide appropriate explanations for important changes affecting users’ rights and interests. Where renewed consent is required, we will handle it in accordance with law.
Building instructions and digital building results may be affected by content versions, rendering, and how the app is operated. If you use digital instructions to build with physical bricks, assess their suitability in light of the actual parts and conditions of use. These explanations do not exempt us from liability arising from intent, gross negligence, or liability that cannot be excluded by law, and do not limit your statutory consumer rights.
If the service must cease or undergo a major change affecting paid entitlements, we will give notice and handle the related follow-up matters as required by law. We will not use a unilateral statement to exclude obligations we are legally required to fulfill.
10. Governing Law and Contact
This agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. In the event of a dispute, the parties may first seek a negotiated resolution. If negotiation fails, proceedings may be brought before a people’s court with jurisdiction in accordance with law. This provision does not exclude jurisdictional or other remedies granted to consumers by law.
